Carmelo Anthony Trade: New York Knicks Get Their Man

After months of speculation, the Carmelo Anthony saga has come to end.

The Denver Post is reporting that Anthony, along with Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams, Anthony Carter and Renaldo Balkman are all headed to New York in a blockbuster trade.

In return, Denver obtains Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Timofey Mozgov, the Knicks 2014 first-round draft pick, the Warriors' 2012 second-round pick, the Warriors' 2013 second-round pick and $3 million in cash.

Just one day after the NBA All-Star Game, the deal comes after conflicted reports were released by USA Today about how Anthony's meetings with both the Knicks and Nets went.

"I said I hoped to have a word by today, one way or another," Anthony told reporters after the All-Star Game. "I've been up early dealing with this and all the festivities, but the night is still young on this side (of the country)."

With the NBA's trading deadline rapidly approaching, Knicks management had played down the deal much of the week, saying that the Nuggets were asking too much in return for Anthony.

Anthony, along with new teammate and former All-Star Amar'e Stoudemire, take the court Wednesday against the Milwaukee Bucks at Madison Square Garden,

The Nuggets play the Memphis Grizzlies at home on Tuesday, their first game without Anthony in uniform since the 2003-2004 season.
