The 49ers Keep Getting Younger And Faster
The 49ers will either keep Alex Smith or trade for another veteran quarterback this year, so I am not mocking any quarterbacks to the 49ers in the early rounds.
With their second pick, the 49ers grab Sam Acho, a speedy defensive end out of Texas. The 49ers need upgrades with their pass-rushing unit and Acho will be a good player to plug in. Acho is talented enough to become a starter his rookie season.
Jim Harbaugh will be looking to make the defense one of the best in the league so any deficiencies at quarterback can be minimized by having a defense that does not allow a lot of points.
The 49ers needs all line up along the defense, so expect a lot of defensive picks in this year's draft. The exception could be a developmental quarterback in the later rounds, but no one in the first three rounds.
