Bleacher Report's Adam Wells reports.
Brock Lesnar has taken on a new challenge by becoming a coach on this season of "The Ultimate Fighter," which aired its first episode last week. Most people were surprised when Lesnar agreed to take on the role of a coach because he hasn't competed in mixed martial arts for very long, and he is a notoriously private person.
It's an interesting time for Lesnar because he is trying to get back in the swing of things after that loss to Cain Velasquez at UFC 121.
Lesnar has to focus on fighting Junior dos Santos, his fellow coach on this season of TUF, at UFC 131 in June. The winner of that fight will get a title shot against Velasquez, presumably sometime later on this year.
There aren't a lot of people who are giving Lesnar a chance in the fight with dos Santos, and he has to show an improvement in his stand up game if he hopes to last in that fight.
Dos Santos is one of the best strikers in the UFC heavyweight division, if not all of UFC, and striking has been Lesnar's biggest weakness thus far in his MMA career.
Undoubtedly that will be the big point of emphasis for Lesnar as he is training for the fight, which is only two months away. But will he improve enough to outlast dos Santos?
