Much has been made about how much Dwyer (FL) teammates Jacoby Brisset and Nick O'Leary aspire to continue playing with one another in college. Both players had similar recruiting lists and coaches at every school in the program recruited both players on selling them on the idea of both being in the same huddle for four more years.
With O'Leary, one the nation's elite tight end prospects, pledging to Florida State this past weekend, could this also lead Brisset, a 6'5", 225 pound quarterback to Tallahassee?
"Quite frankly, we would want that to happen", O'Leary told Rivals.com about if he and Brisset would want to play on the same team in college. O'Leary has been considered a Florida State lean for awhile and Brisset has also been linked heavily to the Seminoles, yet he seems to be looking elsewhere at the moment.
Other schools Brissett is considering include Wisconsin, Florida, Washington and Miami. Wisconsin has made Brisset their No.1 and only quarterback recruiting target, which has bode well for the Badgers in showing Brisset how much he's wanted.
Washington is a very interesting school in the mix as Brisset visited the great northwest this past weekend. Steve Sarkisian is a renowned quarterback coach and Brisset would be a very similar fit in the Huskie's offense to Jake Locker. Florida surely is a viable option with new offensive coordinator Charlie Weis and his reputation as a quarterback developer.
Miami and Al Golden has pursued Brisset aggressively since they lost out on Teddy Bridgewater to Louisville. Golden needs a top flight quarterback prospect in this class to build around after current starter Jacory Harris graduates, Brisset has all the tools to have Miami do so.
Based on how things look now, with Florida State being on the back burner for the time being regarding Brisset, it looks like the two have connected on their last touchdown pass together.
