Keith Olbermann Says Anthony Weiner Isn't the Only Politician With a Scandal (VIDEO)

Keith OlbermannJon Stewart may have been unable to report on Anthony Weiner's resignation last night due to having the night off (bad timing!), but plenty of other commentators were willing to step up and give their opinions.

Among them was Keith Olbermann, who made some shocking assertions on 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on NBC).

Talking about Weiner's spectacular fall from grace, Olbermann dished out the criticism pretty evenly. Democrats, he said, abandoned Weiner because they "don't support their own." Republicans, on the other hand, "love to be on the right side of a scandal like this because it doesn't happen that often."

So why the intense media coverage of the scandal? It's gathered international interest, with footage of Weiner's chaotic resignation press conference airing all over the world last night. Olbermann think it's because Weinergate is easy for reporters to understand: It's given them "something that they can actually understand: A penis."

After Jimmy Fallon referred to Weiner's last name as "comedy gold", Olbermann then disclosed that Speaker of the House John Boehner answers to a rather salacious nickname of his own.
