UFC 131 took place on Saturday June 11 from Rogers Arena in Vancouver, B.C. The main event on the card featured a heavyweight title eliminator fight between highly ranked fighters Shane Carwin and Junior dos Santos.
The co-main event of the night featured a featherweight battle between Kenny Florian, who made his debut at that weight class and Diego Nunes.

Sam Stout defeats Yves Edwards via KO at 3:52 of Round One—Knockout of the Night.
Chris Weidman defeats Jesse Bongfeldt via guillotine choke submission at 4:54 of Round One—Submission of the Night.
Krzysztof Soszynski defeats Mike Massenzio via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-26, 30-27).
Nick Ring defeats James Head via rear naked choke submission at 3:33 of Round Three.
Dustin Poirier defeats Jason Young via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28).
Joey Beltran defeats Aaron Rosa via TKO at 1:26 of Round Three.
Darren Elkins defeats Michihiro Omigawa via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27).
