The Most Successful Renegade College Football Programs

The top story coming out of Monday evening was the official announcement that the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) has officially stripped the University of Southern California of there 2004 national championship title. The title game took place on January 4th, 2005 when USC bested Oklahoma (another school with priors) in the Orange Bowl.

On May 26 the NCAA denied USC of an appeal which opened up the floodgates for the BCS to finally step in. All of this stemmed from former running back Reggie Bush accepting over $100,000 in financial benefits from top tier marketing agents.

While this is big news for all of the NCAA and modern college football. Let’s take a look back at some of the other most notorious college football programs that turned out to be huge winners, until finally caught and turned into semi losers. Who can forget some of the most renegade teams like Ohio State, Alabama, and the University of Miami?

Let us know what you think below – do you agree with BCS's ruling? Did your favorite college football team that you love to hate make it in this video?
