Speaking after the game, Mourinho was pleased with Coentrao's showing, as well as that of Callejon and Varane.
"It was an important game for Coentrao as it will help him integrate," Mourinho said on the club's official website.
"He played a good game and showed his potential.
"Callejon also did well and Varane played a serious game."
Despite Coentrao's stellar debut, supporters of the club shouldn't get ahead of themselves.
