Baby Deer Is Just The Right Size For This Doggy Door

Baby deer, that door isn't for you, but you come on in whenever you want because you are just too cute to turn away!

If you can believe it, this little baby deer has decided to squeeze through a tiny door made for cats and wanders into a house made for people and pets of a smaller, more domesticated nature.

If this cute little deer happened to wander into my house I would struggle with not keeping him forever and showering him with baby deer luxuries. None of that watching out for cars and running away from vicious hunters for him.

Of course, I would have to talk myself out of this idea; they are wild animals after all. But the dream lives on in this video of my perfect world, a world where man and deer can set aside their differences and coexist peacefully.

NFL Draft Grades 2011: Green Bay Packers Final Report Card

It's been an interesting draft for the Green Bay Packers, who came into this draft with no glaring holes on their roster.

It was really up to Ted Thompson to pick whomever he liked most of the players on the board with no huge needs to address.

I think he did a nice job all draft, but he did make a few questionable picks.

Let's see what he did right and wrong; here's the Green Bay Packers' final 2011 NFL Draft report card.

College Football 2011: Who Should Have Their Own Statues?

With Auburn Athletic Director Jay Jacobs recently announcing that statues of Pat Sullivan, Bo Jackson and Cam Newton are in production, one must naturally question who truly deserves a statue in their honor.

It is a risky proposition to build a statue honoring a player who may have only played a year for their school, such as Cam Newton.

Not to discredit his phenomenal season or his immense talent, but it seems slightly premature to permanently cement a player into a school's legacy when he is still being investigated by the NCAA regarding his recruitment.

Don't we honor college coaches and players enough?

Whether a human being should have a statue erected in his honor is debatable as perhaps they should be left for military heroes and Greek gods.

Either way, colleges will always put their stars on a pedestal, whether they truly deserve it or not.

Here is a list of the top 10 sports icons who deserve a statue and 10 who don't.

Enjoy.

UFC 129 Fight Card: Can Randy Couture Win in His Final UFC Fight?

UFC 129 Fight Card watches a legend bow out

Randy Couture claims that tonight will be his farewell performance. The ageless wonder is going to have one last fight before move on to hopefully bigger and better things.

But can he go out on a winning note?

I?ve wrestled with this for days. On paper, and in another time and place I?d tell you there is no way that Couture wins.

MUST READ: 25 Biggest Media Darlings In MMA

Frank McNeil of ESPN.com said this about Couture and his opponent Lyoto Machida:

Machida by decision. This will be Couture's final MMA fight, and he wants to go out with a win. Couture is too experienced and intelligent to stand with Machida. He will attempt to get this fight to the ground often, but Machida is very elusive and should have little trouble picking the 47-year-old Couture apart for three rounds. This fight is far more important to Machida, who must win to remain relevant at 205 pounds.

McNeil is right that the fight seems more important to Machida, but I can?t believe Couture will go out on a losing note. He doesn?t want his last memory of the octagon to be losing in a decision to a guy who will never mean to MMA what Couture has.

I think Couture wins this by a knockout.

Jordan Cameron Video with Blake Griffin: Watch the Browns' Pick Put on a Show

There's a Blake Griffin video featuring former USC tight end Jordan Cameron that's sweeping across the sports world today, after the Clippers standout took it upon himself to hype the eventual fourth-round pick in a unique and clever fashion.

Using his alter ego "Mars Blakemon" (a spoof of Spike Lee's old Mars Blackmon character from the Air Jordan commercials), Griffin explains to us why Cameron is going to be the first overall pick.

You come into this video knowing that Cameron, a consensus mid-to-late round prospect, doesn't really deserve the first overall pick, but as you watch the video, you start to wonder whether the scouts were a little off on him.

In the video, Cameron throws down dunk after impressive dunk, flashing the athleticism that made him an intriguing tight end prospect in this year's draft.

Of course, it helps that the 6'5" tight end is a former college basketball player, having transferred from BYU to USC over the course of three seasons before landing on the Trojans football team. But, considering the success former basketball players have found in the NFL (Antonio Gates, anyone?) the video serves its purpose fairly well and manages to be pretty clever in the process.

The Cleveland Browns apparently liked what Mars Blakemon showed them here, having drafted the athletic tight end with the fifth pick in the fourth round of the NFL draft, 102nd overall.

Given his leaping ability and the hands he's shown in this video, it looks like the Browns could have quite a steal on their hands.

EXCLUSIVE: Johnny Depp Sails The High Seas In New 'Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides' Photo

UFC 129 Fight Card: Can Mark Bocek Upset Ben Henderson's UFC Debut?

Mark Bocek (9-3 with 7 wins by submission) is no slouch, and will stand as one tough unwelcome party to former WEC Lightweight Champion Ben Henderson’s (12-2 with 8 wins by submission) UFC debut tonight in UFC 129: St-Pierre vs. Shields in Toronto.

Bocek, a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), is coming off a Submission of the Night from his last fight in UFC 124 in December 2010, a triangle choke victory made all the more impressive considering it was at the expense of two-time Submission of the Night honoree Dustin Hazelett.

Henderson, himself a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Brown belt, boasts of his own Submission of the Night when he defeated  Donald Cerrone by guillotine choke to defend his WEC Lightweight belt in WEC 48 on April 24, 2010.

Previously, he had also beaten Cerrone in a rousing see-saw battle that earned them both Fight of the Night honors in WEC 43 on Oct. 10, 2009.

Unfortunately, his second and last Fight of the Night saw him lose his title, in his last MMA bout.

Worse, he was posterized and KO’d by his conqueror Anthony Pettis with that sensational bounce-off-the-fence flying kick in WEC 53 on Dec.16, 2010.

For Henderson’s first-time display of guts inside the Octagon, Bocek will prove that a UFC contender can give a former WEC champion the fits.

Bocek will upset Henderson and reward the latter with his second consecutive Shame of the Night dishonor.

Good Show, William and Kate! A List of Royal Wedding Highlights

Prince William and Kate MiddletonAs I said in a piece earlier this week, the British royal family knows how to put on a great production, but my expectations were exceeded by the flawless, joyous wedding of Prince William and the former Kate Middleton on Friday morning.

If you enjoy pomp, ceremony, pageantry, fashion and glimpses of august English institutions doing what they do best, Friday's wedding was wonderfully satisfying. The perfectly polished horse-drawn carriages on the Mall, the sweet outfits of the pageboys and bridesmaids, Kate's classy gown, the trumpet fanfares, the grandeur of the tree-lined Westminster Abbey -- it was all heavenly for this Anglophile.

Even people who don't normally go for that sort of thing were grudgingly impressed. "Nicely done, monarchy!" Time's James Poniewozik tweeted.

Jose Duarte Does Infographics In Real Life

The average person comes across 200 infographics a day. Just kidding - that's not a real statistic, but the point is that these bite-sized nuggets of pretty knowledge are everywhere. Whether discussing the history of rickrolling or just trying to figure out itself (how meta!) you can pretty much find an infographic on every website. It's pretty exhausting.

So, we were thrilled to find Colombian photographer Jose Duarte's real-life infographics, a portfolio of photos of in-real-life items documenting internet stats. Not only are these photos button cute but they're actually filled with some great info. There are 32 million internet users in China, you say? Lady Gaga trumps President Obama, Newsweek and Al Gore in Twitter followers? Well, huh. The more you know.

Ryan Mallett: Why Drug Rumors, New England and Tom Brady Don't Mix for New QB

Ryan Mallett is heading to the worst team possible

Very few people can claim to know just what Bill Belichick is doing when it comes to the NFL draft, but bring in Ryan Mallett is a new head scratcher.

The Patriots, who don?t need a quarterback, but could use a lot of help defensively, or a running back(for God sake?s a running back) drafted a quarterback.

And the mother of all question marks heading into the draft.

Ryan Mallett isn?t a concern as far as his throwing motion, his footwork, or his ability to grasp basic football terminology. It?s his off the field judgment that could get him in trouble.

MUST READ: 2011 NFL Draft Grades: Report Card for Every Pick of Round 1

Mallett drug allegations were enough to make a highly touted prospect free fall into the depths of the second round. It?s a wonder how he?ll fit in New England.

First he?ll have to wrestle with the fact that his playing days will be few and far between. Sure, there is opportunity to shine in a back up role, but not for Mallett. Need proof? Ask yourself if anyone would know who Matt Cassell was if Tom Brady hadn?t got injured so early in the season?

When you combine his lack of playing time, with the intense media scrutiny that New England has you could be setting up Ryan Mallett for a future full of boredom, frustration and disappointment. If that?s the case and Mallett does have a penchant for drugs, there is no telling just how bad things could get.

They say idle hands are the devils plaything, but so are idle quarterbacks.

Welcome Ryan Mallett, your first litmus test as a man has begun.

On a recent post about 'Dancing With the Stars,' several readers chimed in about giving up ABC. Kathryn T. wrote, "Won't watch ABC except for the soaps! Fire Brian Fons!"

Pamela B. added, "I hate having to boycott ABC, but I love 'All My Children' and ['One Life to Live'] enough to keep doing it."

Chelsea Handler Gives Jay Leno a Birthday Kiss (VIDEO)

Filed under:

Chelsea Handler and Jay Leno on 'The Tonight Show'Jay Leno was an early supporter of Chelsea Handler's career, and now that she's got two TV shows, an NBC sitcom pilot in the works, a new book and a new stand-up tour, she's not forgetting her friends. Handler was on Thursday's 'Tonight Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM on NBC) to help Leno celebrate his birthday, the third birthday in a row, Handler noted, that they had been together.

"I was thinking about giving you something for your birthday, like a birthday kiss," said Handler. "And then I decided, forget it." She wound up giving Leno a birthday kiss anyway, a quick peck on the lips. Leno then pretended to fan himself from the heat of it.

Handler thought it was about time, considering how long the pair have known each other. "If we're not going to have sex, we might as well kiss," she joked. Leno was glad they waited. It was apparently worth the wait for Handler, too.

Snowball and Pepper Take-on the Treadmill and Hearts Everywhere Smile

Cats don't need exercise. They're perfect just the way they are. But for some reason these little guys can't help but be totally enthralled with the treadmill. And it makes sense if you think about it. While we might be all motivated, going for the run of our life, getting healthy, getting in shape and buff, to a cat the treadmill is a totally foreign contraption. Humans, on a moving walkway inside the house, huffing and puffing and fighting to walk in place.

So seeing it from Snowball and Pepper's perspectives, it makes complete sense that they would stare and poke and prod with their little furry mittenesque hands. They're simply looking out for our well being.

NFL Draft 2011: As Expected, San Francisco 49ers Go Defense with No. 7 Pick

Leave it to the San Francisco 49ers to make the first head-scratching selection of the 2011 NFL draft.

With the 7th overall pick, 49ers fans sweated out the choice of quarterback Blaine Gabbert and anybody but quarterback Blaine Gabbert.

Lacking a pass rush and missing out on LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson, the 49ers went with defense as expected, selecting Missouri DE Aldon Smith.

Smith, just 21 years old, left Missouri with two years of eligibility remaining.

In 23 games, Smith had 17 sacks for the Tigers, including six as a sophomore while playing most of the season with a broken bone in his leg.

At 6'4" and 265 pounds, Aldon Smith is expected to beef up, play outside linebacker and rush the quarterback, something the 49ers' Manny Lawson hasn't had much success with.

The last San Francisco defensive player to tally a double-digit sack total was fellow No. 7 overall pick Andre Carter nearly nine years ago.

Smith is a bit of a curious pick, considering that North Carolina defensive end Robert Quinn, who many analysts considered the top-rated pass-rusher, was still on the board.

In the end, the Niners landed a pure pass-rushing linebacker in hopes that they can do something they haven't done very well.

Rush the passer.

NFL Draft 2011 Results: James Carpenter to the Seattle Seahawks at No. 25

I'm not going to bash James Carpenter here. He is a solid offensive guard. Yet this the wrong pick for the Seattle Seahawks. Sorry, James, but I have to give the Seahawks a C+.

Boston vs. Miami: The Possible Series of a Lifetime

A new kid full of potential walked down a dark alley to get to his final destination. Four men stopped him in his tracks, mugged him, and sent him back from where he came from. The four men are the Boston Celtics. The new kid is LeBron James. He's back, and he's bringing two buddies to help him get to his final destination.

We have anticipated this series ever since "The Decision" in July of 2010, and now here it is, right before us. Boston. Miami. C's. Heatles. The grizzled veterans that have been around the block a few times. The new boys on the block, ready to prove to the basketball world that they are legit. It starts on Sunday night, and an entire nation is ready to witness seven knock-down, drag-out brawls (if necessary).

The Boston Celtics. Hate them or love them, they are who they are. Two years in a row, they have fooled the nation. They limped their way into the playoffs, but they start off the postseason with a brand new leg. Trading away a member of their family, the Celtics seemed lost for the majority of the second half of the season. But during their first round series against the New York Knicks, the C's woke up. Jermaine O'Neal is looking like he could be the solution to the Boston Big Man problem. Rajon Rondo, after looking lost and hopeless after Kendrick Perkins departed the squad, has now found himself when it matters most. Make no mistake, the Boston Celtics are back.

The Miami Heat. Hate them or love them, they are who they are, as well. If you love Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, Chris Bosh, or the Miami Heat, you love them. If you're a fan of anything else in the NBA, chances are you hate them. Rip the Big Three for joining forces and 'taking the easy way out' all you want, they are the #2 team in the East and poised at making a run at the title. It took the Heat a while to get used to playing with each other and sharing one ball with three superstars, but the Heat have made it work.......until the final minutes of the fourth quarter. While the Heat are the #2 seed in the East, they were 1-3 against the C's in the regular season, but now it's anybody's series. Win four, or go home.

Many of us basketball fans projected this matchup to happen in the Conference Finals, but Derrick Rose had other ideas. Nevertheless, the stakes are just as high in the Conference Semifinals as they would be in the Conference Finals. Win, you keep going. Lose, have a nice seat on the sofa for the rest of the postseason. The fact that these two are meeting one series early does not effect the altitude of how great this series should be.

Prediction? That's a tough one. So tough that I will project two specific things that I think might happen. 1) The Boston Celtics do what they have done best over the past couple of years, and that is fool us into thinking they're too old to contend for the title again, and they'll win in 6 games. The C's beat the Heat 3-1 in the regular season, and during the one loss, Boston pretty much closed the playbook. But again, that was then and this is now. The x-factor for Boston will be Jermaine O'Neal. The media made Kendrick Perkins sound like Bill Russell. He wasn't. Jermaine O'Neal will fill the 5 and give Boston the big man that they need to advance past the Heat. Or 2) LeBron James develops that killer instinct and finally slays the Celtics. He needs to play pissed. This is the same team that embarrassed him and knocked him out of the playoffs last year. What a better stage to create your killer instinct and make your mark in basketball history? If LeBron plays mad and steps up, the Heat will win in 7 games. One or the other will happen. That is my prediction.

My only hope is this. I hope this series is as great as we've hyped it up to be. If so, this will truly be one of those series' that you can tell your children and grandchildren about down the road. May the best team win.

2011 NFL Mock Draft: Houston Texans Select Marvin Austin at No. 42

2011 NFL Mock Draft: Houston Texans Take A Shot on Marvin Austin

I have a feeling that the Texans are going to want to address the defensive line in round two, so I think that the obvious choice at No. 42 is going to be Marvin Austin out of North Carolina.

He is by far the best defensive lineman left on the board at this point in the draft and Houston would be getting an absolute steal.

Many experts consider Austin to be a late first round talent, but I see him slipping to No. 42 because he missed all of the 2010 season as part of North Carolina crew that got suspended for taking improper benefits from an agent.

Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune quoted Austin?s thoughts on the whole situation and wondered if it would raise any red flags for potential suitors.

For his part, the 6-foot-2, 309-pound Austin said he has grown from the experience as it has made him realize nothing can be taken for granted.

"I went from being one of the top players and prospects in the nation to being a guy who's not even talked about," Austin said. "And it was a tough situation having to sit back and watch all the other linemen and not be able to do anything. It made you put things in perspective a lot more."

Interestingly, Austin says he has no regrets. You have to wonder how teams interviewing him accept that answer knowing that by stepping out of bounds he took himself out of the game.

"Everything was a learning experience," Austin said.

In my opinion Austin has way too much talent to pass up on. The Texans will add another dominant piece to their defense at No. 42.

Relive Your Father's Glory Days With 'Dads: The Original Hipsters'

Hipster dogs, hipster mermaids, hipster babies... everybody with a pair of Ray Bans and some cheap beer wears the hipster label proudly. But, lest we forget, let's think back to the original hipster. Not long ago there was a man with so much facial hair that he could play Salvador Dali's understudy. A man with shorts he could turn the heads of flaxen bicyclers blocks away. A man with a tight t-shirt, a headband and a dream. That's right, it's dad.

And that's the idea behind the latest greatest single-serving Tumblr, Dads: The Original Hipsters. From craft beer to plaid shirts, your dad was hip way before you were ever born - and don't you forget it.

San Antonio Spurs Down Memphis Grizzlies with Incredible Clutch Performance

Down four with just ticks remaining on regulation, the Sours showed the World why they should never be doubted on a basketball court.

Manu Ginobili and Gary Neal delivered clutch shots that allowed the game to stretch into overtime.

In the extra five minutes, Tony Parker took over the game offensively while Tim Duncan played great defense on Marc Gasol.

Coming into this series, nobody expected Memphis to win.  Some analysts expected San Antonio to easily sweep the Grizzlies while other gave Memphis one or two victories in the series.

Against all odds, Memphis was able to take a commanding 3-1 lead over the Western Conference top seed.  Every game had been close except their last outing in Memphis, where San Antonio suffered a blowout loss.

The Spurs started the game on fire, with Tim Duncan easily having the best start to a game in the entire series.  Duncan scored 11 points in the first quarter.  He would go on to finish with 13.

The Spurs were carried offensively all night by Manu Ginobili.  Ginobili filled up the stat sheet with 33 points, six rebounds, six assists, and four steals.

For the Memphis Grizzlies, they basically stayed with the game plan that has proven to be successful all series long.  They went inside to Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph, who combined for 37 points and 28 rebounds.

Both teams were about even in every statistical category possible.  The only area where San Antonio had the clear edge was three-point shooting.  San Antonio was plus 12 from behind the arc.

Even though they only shot 32 percent from deep, it was their last three by Gary Neal what saved the season for San Antonio.

With only 1.7 seconds left, Gary Neal made a three-pointer off an inbound pass that beat the buzzer cleanly.

The Memphis Grizzlies once again played an excellent game and took the game down to the wire.  Game six will be back in Memphis where they beat the Spurs by 18 the last time the teams met in that arena.

San Antonio will live to fight another day.

Do they have enough energy left to pull off another clutch performance like tonight but in Memphis?  Time will surely tell.

MLB: Each Team's MVP Through the First Month of the Season

April is just about in the books.  It is hard to believe that we have had Major League Baseball for almost a month now.  It has been an entertaining—and surprising at times—first month.

While it is common to forget about April when the pennant race heats up in the fall, April plays a big role for a lot of teams, and not just in terms of wins and losses (which still count in September, "April doesn't matter" guys).  April can give young teams confidence (Indians, Marlins) or can cause contenders to hit the panic button (Twins, Red Sox), even if it is early.

Here are my picks for each team's MVP through the first month of the baseball season.

Oprah's '20 Years Younger Challenge' (VIDEO)

Filed under:

'The Oprah Winfrey Show'Oprah Winfrey and Bob Greene asked a number of 'Oprah Winfrey Show' (weekdays, syndicated) fans to take the "20 Years Younger Challenge," based on Greene's book of the same name. They followed Greene's regimen for two months, and on Wednesday's episode, Winfrey featured the women, showing the group's "before" picture and then following their progress.

In a pre-recorded clip, Winfrey showed the women working out and talking about their experience. "I have to admit I wouldn't imagine myself at almost 50 wearing a tank top and stretchy pants in front of the camera," said one woman working on an elliptical machine.

There's no way to quantify whether they actually seem 20 years younger, but some of them reported benefits like kicking blood pressure pills. Maybe they mostly feel 20 years younger.

2011 NFL Mock Draft: All 32 1st Round Picks, 49ers Take Prince Amukamara

The 49ers Get Their Prince (Amukamara) in This 2011 NFL Mock Draft

The 49ers have a solid run defense, but they were shredded by opposing WRs in 2010. They have the 30th and 31st ranked DVOA against No. 1 and 2 receivers respectively.

This draft is rich in CB talent. I expect the 49ers to capitalize on this.

Nebraska's Prince Aumukamara has all the tools it take to be a Pro Bowl NFL corner. Most years he would be the highest rated corner in the draft.

However, he lacks the top-end speed of LSU's, Patrick Peterson, and Peterson is going to be a top-3 pick.

At 6'1" and 180 pounds, Nebraska's Amukamara has good size.

He has outstanding quickness, and he can change direction as good as anyone.

NBA Playoffs 2011: Miami Heat-Philadelphia 76ers Game 5 Predictions

The 2011 NBA playoffs have started off in an emphatic fashion with highly entertaining first round series in both the Eastern and Western Conference.

The No. 2 vs. No. 7 matchup between the Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers has been largely dominated by the Heat, but the Sixers have still offered plenty of competition as the underdogs.

Miami currently leads the series 3-1 after Philadelphia avoided the sweep last Sunday due to huge three-pointers from Lou Williams and Jrue Holiday in the final minute of Game 4. The Heat were outscored 10-0 in the final 82 seconds of the game in front of a rowdy Philadelphia crowd.

The Heat will look to close out Philadelphia in Game Five in Miami tonight and advance to a highly anticipated second-round date with the Boston Celtics.

Still, the Heat have a lot of work to do before they can eliminate a pesky 76ers team with nothing to lose.

Here are five things to watch of the Heat in the pivotal Game-Five matchup.

Watch the Trailer for the British 'Jersey Shore,' 'Geordie Shore'

Filed under:

Geordie Shore, British Jersey ShoreIt's common for the U.S. to steal British shows and make our own versions, but occasionally the reverse happens.

For better or worse, our friends across the pond have adapted their own version of 'Jersey Shore,' called 'Geordie Shore.' I'm going to go with "better," judging from the amazing trailer MTV just released.

It's like a more attractive parody version of our favorite Macaroni Rascals, but just as tan and drunk. Probably the same amount of hair product, too.

Check out the video after the jump.

Pia Toscano Sings While Mark Ballas Dances on 'Dancing With the Stars' (VIDEO)

Pia Toscano & Mark Ballas, 'Dancing with the Stars'Ever since Pia Toscano's surprise elimination from 'American Idol' a few weeks back, the Internet has been abuzz with rumors of her being in a relationship with 'Dancing with the Stars' (Tue., 9PM ET on ABC) professional Mark Ballas. Not ones to let good free publicity like that slip away, the show booked Toscano for this week's results show.

To add fuel to the fire, they had Ballas perform with fellow pro Karina Smirnoff to Toscano's performance of 'I'll Stand By You.' That way we could watch the two of them on the stage together to see if there were any smoldering looks passed back and forth.

Tom Bergeron said he was advised to ask about the relationship, but that he couldn't do that to her. Instead he asked, "Is he a good kisser?"

The Inspirational Speech America Needs (The One)

dog riding monkey guy gives speechIf you're a diehard Urlbot you probably already know about the monkeys that ride dogs and herd goats at minor league baseball games, but unless you watched seven minutes into the YouTube video, you probably missed the important speech trainer Tim "Wild Thang" Lepard made. Don't worry, though, because someone's put together a video of just his speech and it's getting a lot of attention.

It makes perfect sense, honestly. It's like I've always said: if you're gonna take advice from somebody in this world, it should be a man who owns an American flag pickup truck and a bunch of tiny saddles.

2011 NFL Mock Draft: Full 1st-Round, 2nd-Round Picks, Robert Quinn to Redskins?

2011 NFL Mock Draft Predicting Robert Quinn Will Not Slide out of Top Ten

Robert Quinn is one of the best athletes in this draft, and one of the most versatile players as well.  He has the skill set to play OLB for the Washington Redskins in their 3-4 scheme as a pass rusher opposite of Brian Orakpo.

Orakpo is currently the only pass rushing threat the Redskins have, and could really use another pass rusher to help improve the Redskins pass defense.

Robert Quinn is still a bit raw, but he certainly has the upside to be one of the best picks of this year's draft.  The Redskins will be tempted by QBs such as Jake Locker and Andy Dalton but Robert Quinn is the safer pick for the 'Skins.

Ohio State Football: 10 Buckeyes Whose Stocks Have Shifted After Spring Game

The Ohio State spring game Saturday showed quite a bit of what the 2011 Buckeyes football team will look like, except for Terrelle Pryor, who missed the game due to recovering from foot surgery.

Although we only saw about 90 minutes' worth of football in the scrimmage, the game did give us a look at what developments have been taking place in spring practice.

Even though we want to take quite a bit out of this game, let's remember that this scrimmage is just a sampling of what the coaches saw in the other 15 practices and scrimmages, meaning that each player could have had a fluky (good or bad) performance in the Horseshoe Saturday night.

Still, based on the spring game, here are 10 Buckeyes players and whether their stock rose or dropped after the scrimmage.

Roger Maris Still Deserves to Be in the Hall of Fame

This has been a debate ever since Roger Maris finished playing in 1968, but it's a no-brainer:

Maris is a Hall of Famer.

It's not a secret that Maris didn't have staggering numbers, a .260 career batting average, 275 home runs and 850 RBIs, but Maris contributed far more to the game of baseball.

In his years with the Cleveland Indians (57-58), Kansas City A's (58-59), New York Yankees (60-66) and the St. Louis Cardinals (67-68) Maris contributed to the game in numerous ways.

He was a seven-time All-Star selection, three-time world series champ (two with NY, one with St. Louis) and the biggest honor of all, the single season home run champ with 61 homers in 1961. That record was broken by Mark McGwire in 1998, 37 years later.

Many baseball fans and historians still count Maris as the true home run king, because of the steroid use of McGwire and Barry Bonds.

Any player who has a record of such stature and reverence should surely have a place in the Hall of Fame. Maris captivated an entire country in 1961, along with Mickey Mantle, in a truly historic home run race. Now, there is no comparison between Mantle and Maris, but Roger should be alongside Mick in Cooperstown.

I am not the only person who feels this way, rest assured. There is a Roger Maris Museum dedicated to everything Roger, in North Dakota, and a quick Google search of "Roger Maris Hall of Fame" will return numerous results for fan-made sites, petitions and blogs dedicated to getting Roger in the Hall of Fame.

Happy 20th Anniversary, 'Dinosaurs'! Where Are They Now?

Filed under:

DinosaursIt's been 20 years since Baby Sinclair first uttered the words "Not the mama!"

Yep, it's OK to feel old now.

On April 26, 1991, the world was introduced to the Sinclair family on ABC's 'Dinosaurs.' The sitcom lasted for four seasons and 65 episodes (58 episodes aired during the first run; the remaining aired in syndication) before ultimately ending with the extinction of dinosaurs. (Inevitable, we suppose.)

While 'Dinosaurs' was a sitcom, the show broke the mold by not having a studio audience or a laugh track. Brought to life by a cast of experienced Henson puppeteers and seasoned voice actors, 'Dinosaurs' is heralded as one of the most ambitious sitcoms ever.

Celebrate the 20th anniversary of the premiere of 'Dinosaurs' with a walk down memory lane after the jump.
