['How I Met Your Mother' - 'Garbage Island']As we get into the later years of 'How I Met Your Mother' -- and, let's face it, any show that goes beyond 100 episodes is more than likely on the back end of its run -- it's fascinating that the whole "mythology" of the show not only becomes less important, it also becomes less fun to watch.
Tonight, we found out a few things about how Ted and Zoey really got together, and how they ended up. We also found out what happened to Wendy the Waitress, as Charlene Amoia got the most screen time she's ever gotten on the show.
But what I really cared about in this episode was Marshall, and how he's handling things since his dad died. And I cared about Barney, and the super-mature way he and Robin are getting along right now, even if he said he'd throw her one, just to get her off her 18-week sexless streak. The Ted stuff was amusing, but what we found out at the end might have had the reverse effect than what Bays, Thomas and the writers intended to do.
