This idea originated from ESPN's Mike & Mike. Here is my offseason preview for the Washington Redskins:
5. Will Donavan McNabb be the Redskins' starting QB in 2011?
No. After the explosion between him and Mike Shanahan, McNabb will be elsewhere in 2011.
I don't see him returning after he was benched in favor of Rex Grossman. This situation is irreperable at this point.
4. Where will DT Albert Haynesworth be playing next season?
Like Donavan McNabb, it won't be Washington.
As irreerable as McNabb's situation is, Haynesworth's is even worse. He refused to play in the 3-4 and even held out after receiving $21 million. He is never is shape, as shown this past offseason.
3. Has former Super Bowl Champion Mike Shanahan lost his touch?
Redskins fans have seen this movie before. Granted, Shanahan wasn't away from the NFL as long as Gibbs was, but just think back to Joe Gibbs' second stint in D.C.
Since John Elway left Denver, Shanahan has done absolutely nothing. I had defended him, until the 2010 season, but not anymore. I guess it shows how good a Hall of Fame quarterback makes you look.
2. What is the Redskins' top priority in the NFL Draft and/or free agency?
After trying the veteran quarterback route, it looks as if the 'Skins will draft a quarterback here.
If either Blaine Gabbert or Cam Newton s available, that will be the pick here. If not, they could pick Jake Locker, although many would consider that a reach.
1. Stock: Rising or Falling?
I hate to continue this bashing, but it's got to be falling.
This team needs to start building through the draft rather than free agency. Dan Snyder's shopping sprees have killed the Redskins franchise. Until the franchise is built right, it won't go much of anywhere.
