Big Ten Tournament 2011: Top-Ranked Buckeyes Rev Up for Big Ten Tourney

Big Ten Tournament 2011 a Chance for Ohio State to Prepare for NCAA Tournament

The Ohio State Buckeyes had a spectacular 2010-2011 regular season, finishing ranked No. 1 in college basketball.

Now they can't stop.

It's easy for the Buckeyes to go through the Big Ten Tournament, a tournament that certainly would be nice to win by does nothing in terms of their chances of making the storied NCAA Tournament.

The Buckeyes, slated to face either Northwestern or Minnesota in the quarterfinals, likely won't see a real challenge in the semifinals, with No. 9 Purdue and No. 13 Wisconsin the other big dogs in the conference.

But they can't let up now. There's simply too much that can go wrong come March Madness.

We've all seen the unbelievable upsets in the NCAA Tournament, noted bottom-feeders coming up to bite favorites in the rear end.

Especially given the quality of the field this year, it's imperative that the Buckeyes stay more focused than they've ever been from here on out.

I don't really expect that to be a problem, given they've lost just two games all season, but there's always that top dog that gets surprised by the under dog.

Jared Sullinger may be among the best in the country, but he's also young, and it's going to be interesting how he deals with the pressure associated with March Madness.

It's time for the Buckeyes to prove they are the No. 1 team in college basketball.
