NBA Rumors: Monta Ellis Not Feeding into Trade Rumors
Monta Ellis has been at the epicenter of just about every trade rumor involving the Golden State Warriors in recent weeks, but that doesn't mean that he's buying into the hype.
In an interview on WJTV in Jackson, Mississippi, Ellis told the television station that he "doesn't feed into the trade rumors," and that "everything is heading in the right direction" for the Warriors.
Despite the fact that many have said he and teammate Stephen Curry can't exist in the same backcourt, Ellis apparently feels that his home is with Golden State.
New owner Joe Lacob and first-time head coach Mark Jackson have both said that they are big fans of Ellis' game and the team isn't looking to deal him, so the potential scenarios that have him landing in different zip codes may begin to die down in the coming weeks.

There's no doubt that Ellis could yield a significant return in a deal, but his unique skill set and electrifying ability to score are not easily replaceable in the lineup.
Despite the fact that there are some concerns about his play on the defensive end, Ellis is a force when it comes to stealing the ball from his opposition.
He's not well-known or readily valued for anything other than his ability to be an elite offensive contributor, but his new coach will undoubtedly preach defense first when the club has their first practice with everyone on the floor.
It should be interesting to see how Ellis and Curry survive in the backcourt together, but if the Warriors are going to go small at the guard spot, they're going to need some serious size along the front line in order to make up that deficiency.
Let's see what happens next.
