Andre Iguodala Trade Rumors: Could He Be Headed To The Golden State Warriors?

Andre Iguodala has been stated in many trade rumors to be headed to all different teams.

Now, a new team has put there foot in the mix. The Golden State Warriors.

In a recent interview with the San Jose News, Golden State's owner, Jacob Lacob, stated that he is willing to trade for a superstar.

He also went on to say that he is willing to give up Monta Ellis or Stephen Curry, depending on the situation.

Of course, his first choice is Carmelo Anthony, but he said that it's unlikely because he is leaning toward New York.

In part of the interview he stated, "What I would really love to do is to pull off the deal to get a superstar. There's one or two of them out there"

Wait a minute. One or two?

Is that "two" Iguodala?

I think it just may be. Just think about it.

Iguodala would actually be a better fit than Melo. Iggy gives the Warriors a defensive presence that the Warriors do not have and are in big need of it.

That defensive ability does not come in Anthony.

Plus, since Iggy would come at a cheaper price than Melo, the warriors would be able to keep Ellis, and maybe even Curry as well.

During the interview, Lacob did not feel satisfied with Curry's play this season, so maybe he would want to give up Curry.

But another question comes to mind is if he's a good fit for Philadelphia.

The Sixers have Jrue Holiday at the point, who is doing a great job, and they also have Turner at the two guard. If they acquire Curry, they would have to play him at the two and shift Turner over at the small forward slot.

But can Turner play the three successfully in the league?

That is up for debate, but I think he could do it.

Another trade the Warriors could do is trade Dorell Wright and Andris Biedrins for Iguodala.

It's very beneficial for both teams because the Sixers are getting some young talent and taking a chance on a center and the Warriors are obviously getting something good in Iguodala.

Either way, the Warriors seem to be shopping as we inch closer to the trade deadline and Iguodala may be a part of it.

Will Iguodala be dealt before the trade deadline?

Well, the closer and closer we seem to get to the deadline, more teams start to express interest in him.

Don't be surprised if Iguodala won't be with the Sixers next season.
