'American Idol' Slays Thursday Night Sitcoms

'American Idol' had no problem sliding into first in its new Thursday night slot, up against both CBS and NBC's sitcom onslaught.

While season 10's second night did slide down to a 14.4/22 share overnight from the premiere's 16.4/24 showing, 'American Idol' proved it can still deliver a ratings beatdown, even in the midst of the trecherous Thursday night battlefield.
