Cole Aldrich was recalled from the NBA D-League's Tulsa 66ers on Dec. 6, but after appearing in just two games for the Oklahoma City Thunder, he's been sent back to the Development League for a bit more development.Aldrich, the 11th overall pick in this year's NBA Draft, has played in a total of seven games for the Thunder this season with a season-high of 14 minutes in a Nov. 7 meeting with the Boston Celtics in which the 6-foot-11 center grabbed four rebounds but missed his only shot attempt of the game.
In the D-League, Aldrich has fared better on his way to averaging 7.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in five starts, but the former Kansas Jayhawk has struggled mightily with fouls, limiting the amount of court time he's able to see. In five games, he's racked up 26 fouls, something he mentioned in his personal blog during the last time he was in the D-League.
"Also, you get called for some things that you don't get called for in the League," Aldrich wrote. "Maybe you get anticipated for a call when you actually don't foul a guy, or other situations where you just play through in the League."
