When the invitation was dropped in my inbox to come out to the Mount Airy Casino and Resort in the Poconos to interview Teresa Giudice, the table-flipping, Andy Cohen-shoving breakout star of 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey,' I couldn't say yes fast enough.Why? Well, first, the setting: It was on the site of the former Mount Airy Lodge, and if you grew up in the New York area, the ads promising a romantic weekend filled with flowing champagne and heart-shaped tubs are tattooed on your brain. Second, the slots were calling to my wife on a snowy Saturday. And third, because Teresa -- there to sign her cookbook, 'Skinny Italian,' and host a VIP sit-down dinner -- always has something good to say.
For instance, I asked her whether she's happy that Danielle Staub isn't going to be joining her, Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita on the third season of the show. "I kinda miss her," she shockingly told me.
That tidbit and more can be found in the video after the jump. We also talk about some of what we might see in season three and what she and her husband Joe are up to. After you hear about it, you'll probably do what I did, which was make like Liz Lemon on '30 Rock' and go, "I want to go to there."
