Tiger Woods: The Woods' Benefit Concert Is Back, And Woods Returns Next Week

Tiger Woods Makes His Second Golf Appearance Of The Year Next Week, And His Charity Concert Returns In April

The Tiger Woods Foundation has organized the "Tiger Jam" charity benefit concert, which will take place in Las Vegas on April 30. The event will raise money for Woods' charity, and feature performances from Keith Urban and John Mayer.

Meanwhile, on the course Woods will return to the European Tour next weekend (Feb 10-13) at the Dubai Desert Classic.

Woods has won the tournament two times (2006, 2008) and will be trying to work out some of the kinks in his swing that were very prevalent last weekend at the Farmers Insurance Open.

After Woods started that tournament strong, with back-to-back 3-under par rounds, he drifted off in the final two rounds. His swing is still nowhere close to where it needs to be for him to be successful.

Fortunately, Woods has had success at Dubai, and he has shown signs that he can come out of this funk that he is in. The key for him to be successful moving forward is his putting. He has never been great at hitting fairways, but he always made up for that on the greens.

Last week, Woods was awful driving and putting, and that led to his demise. He has been working with his swing coach Sean Foley for six months now, and he should start seeing results soon.

This year is going to be a critical year for Woods. A lot of people, myself included, are skeptical that he can get back to playing at a championship level. It's tough to discredit an athlete, especially one who has as much talent as Woods does. But unless there are major improvements made on the course and in his mind the glory days are long gone.
