NFL Mock Draft: Outland Trophy Winner Heading to Indianapolis at No. 22

NFL Mock Draft Has Gabe Carimi Headed to Indianapolis

Chief among the Colts? needs this offseason is offensive tackle. In fact the last time the Colts took an offensive tackle in the first round it was 1997 and that player was Tarik Glenn.

I think the guys running the Indianapolis franchise would be foolish to try and get out of the first round without taking an offensive tackle.

For our purposes the best available tackle is former Wisconsin star Gabe Carimi.

Carimi is coming off a season where he won the Outland Trophy and helped lead a potent Badger offensive attack to the Rose Bowl.

He is ideally built to be a right tackle at the next level but I think anything could end up happening with his progression.

Obviously there are other offensive tackles that the Colts could end up taking. If Nate Solder is available I think he could be the pick or they could even get Mississippi State?s Derek Sherrod.

Really any big body would help the offensive line but I think tackle is the primary need.
