Dwyane Wade Will Play Against Lakers

LOS ANGELES -- Miami guard Dwyane Wade said he was pretty sure about it Friday. Heat coach Erik Spoelstra made it 100 percent Saturday.

"He's fine,'' Spoelstra said about Wade, who will play in Saturday's big Christmas game against the Lakers at the Staples Center after missing one game with a sore left knee. "Regardless of how he feels, he's going to deem himself 100 percent.''

Wade was banged in the knee Monday against Dallas, and the injury flared up during the long Wednesday flight from Miami to Phoenix. He then sat out Thursday against the Suns.

But Wade went through a practice Friday at UCLA. He then made it pretty clear he would play.

"My plan is to play,'' Wade said Friday. "I just want to continue to get better and continue to do my treatment therapy, but my plan is to play.''
