Atlanta Falcons running back Michael Turner highlights the team's offensive strategy.
When the Falcons traveled to New Orleans earlier this season, they rushed the ball 50 times for 202 yards. Turner had 30 of those attempts and 114 of those yards.
While it is possible that Atlanta will look to throw a curve ball at the Saints by throwing the ball more often?as they did against the Baltimore Ravens?they will likely look to once again run it down the throat of a team that has struggled defending the run.
New Orleans, on the other hand, will most definitely pass, and pass often. The Atlanta secondary has been better over the past few weeks, but for much of the season they had tremendous difficulties stopping opposing air attacks.
What this means is that we are going to see two completely different styles of offense.
The Falcons will try to pound the ball and control the game with time of possession; the Saints will look to hit on some big plays through the air.
New Orleans will be aided in doing this by having Reggie Bush available, something they could not say in the Week 3 meeting between these teams.
