Bleacher Report's Nick Colon:
With Brian Stann's third-straight UFC win over Jorge Santiago on Memorial Day weekend, Stann proved he is clearly ready for tougher competition.
Stann finished Santiago in the second round with consecutive shots to Santiago's face which forced referee Herb Dean to step in, all the while proving the ex-Marine is ready for a step up in competition against the top fighters in the middleweight division.
Stann also paid tribute to his fellow U.S. Marines in his postfight conversation, showing he is an American first and foremost and a fighter second.
With the win, Stann is 3-0 since his move to the middleweight division, and with wins over Chris "The Crippler" Leben and Mike Massenzio, along with the win over Santiago, it would behoove the UFC brass to set Stann up for a top-10 fight following his win.
