Humanitarian Bowl: Fresno State Has Slim 7-6 Lead After One Quarter

The Humanitarian Bowl matchup between the Fresno State Bulldogs and the Northern Illinois Huskies has gone to the second quarter on the blue turf of Bronco Stadium, as the first quarter ended with the Bulldogs nursing a slim 7-6 lead.

Fresno State didn't waste any time in getting on the board in this one, as their first drive went for 69 yards on 13 plays, ultimately ending in a short touchdown pass from Ryan Colburn to Jamel Hamler.

The Huskies answered right back, however, as they got a big 39-yard pass from Chandler Harnish to Martel Moore to set themselves up at the Fresno State 12 yard line. A couple plays later, Harnish kept it himself and rushed in for a seven-yard touchdown.

Unfortunately, Michael Cklamovski missed the extra point, which is why the Huskies still trail 7-6. But the Huskies have the ball near midfield at the start of the second quarter, and they could retake the lead very soon.
