To whom it (should) concern,
On March 11th, 2011, you chose a selfish and atrocious route by decertifying (NFLPA) or locking out the players (NFL).
What we NFL fans cannot grasp is how you can be so egotistical in going about your business. How you are so selfish that you can't divide billions of dollars amongst yourself?
It truly is one of the greatest crimes committed, as far as I can tell.
You are not losing. We, the fans, are the ones caught in the cross-fire. Some of us spend thousands of dollars in our lifetime supporting your business. Others support it in other ways; watching the game on television, for example.
But you are so caught up in what is "best" for yourself, you have forgotten the ones who truly make the NFL: us. The fans. What happened to, "The customer is always right?"
Some worship the National Football League. Men and women travel across the country just to see their favorite team play a game of football—quite a sacrifice for an hour-long game.
And who benefits? You.
March 11th is one of the most selfish acts partaken by any business/employee(s). Ever.
We fans give you everything. Some sacrifice their house payment. Many are so obsessed with your team, that they completely lose contact with some. Families are broken up.
All because they are in love with football.
Yet you have chosen to selfishly take away this game from us.
And that's unacceptable.
Get a deal done for the fans. Get it done now.
Sincerely,
A very, very frustrated fan of the National Football League
