2011 NBA Finals: Game 6 Looks to Be High Scoring as Dallas Mavericks Drain 3's

First Quarter of Game Six of the 2011 NBA Finals Filled with Scoring

LeBron James started Game Six of the 2011 NBA Finals on a tear. After being relentlessly attacked in the press following his 4th quarter no shows this series, LeBron is looking to do his damage early and avoid having to play catch up as the game winds down.  He opened the game with a 3 pointer and has knocked down a few midrange jumpers totaling 9 points while dishing 3 assists.

Wade and Bosh have been solid as usual, the latter getting to the line twice and scoring 7 points.

Dirk Nowitzki got hit with two quick fouls and was spelled by Brian Cardinal around the five-minute mark of the quarter. He was only able to get one of his three shots to fall before hitting the bench. Cardinal was able to knock down a three in his place.

Terry provided the instant offense expected out of him off the bench, draining two jump shots in his first minute of play and scoring a quick nine points in Dirk?s absence.

Tyson Chandler had to hit the bench towards the end of the period as well, after committing a charging foul that LeBron James smartly slid over and took. Ian Mahimi came off the bench to give him some rest and keep him out of foul trouble.

The final score after one period of play is 32-27 Mavericks in what looks to be a high scoring game.
