Donald Cerrone opened his fight with Vagner Rocha with just devastating leg kicks that took its toll on Rocha?s left leg. In fact, at the end of the first, Rocha was limping to his corner.
Then to open the second round, Cerrone threw a nice leg kick, but Rocha started to push the pace and push Cerrone. At two minutes in the second round, Cerrone was able to stop two takedown attempts, one of which he laid out Rocha while he was shooting with a nice left jab.
Throughout the fight Cerrone refused to go to the ground with Rocha and was tearing him apart standing. In the third the leg kicks took its toll on Rocha as he showed how bad the leg kicks were hurting him, immediately switching his stance.
Cerrone took the fight by unanimous decision (30-27 on two cards, 30-26 on one).
