NBA Rumors Discuss Detroit Pistons Next Head Coach
The Detroit Pistons continue their search for a head coach. John Kuester just didn't work out, and now the Pistons must start fresh once again.
Detroit has been in shambles for a few years now. They're hoping that the new head coach will lead them back to the top of the Eastern Conference.
That isn't going to be easy with teams like Miami, New York, and Boston dominating now. The Pistons will have to draft well and make a few trades if they expect to be a solid team once again.

According to a source close with Detroit, the Pistons will interview Kelvin Sampson before the week is over. Sampson is an assistant coach with the Milwaukee Bucks at the moment.
Sampson is the former coach of Indiana as well as Oklahoma. He was involved in a few scandals back in the day. He doesn't have to worry about recruits when coaching at the professional level.
Sampson, along with former Atlanta Hawks coach Mike Woodson, is considered a front runner for the job. Neither of these two will be a fantastic hire, but the Pistons head coaching job isn't a very lucrative one.
They do have the No. 8 pick in the draft, and a few players that are likely to be traded. Whatever guy they hire will be starting fresh with the Pistons and together they will rebuild the team.
Detroit has reached out and interviewed a number of candidates. It's only a matter of time before they finally get their guy.
